If you bring it down you’ll break the rear differential!

I am waiting on another die set for mine.  I saw the RCBS cowboy sets are actually available if you order direct from RCBS.  Mine should be here Monday.   Hopefully it works the brass less.

I also need a new backer board, mine is a bit holy.

I may have forgotten to add that these cast bullets performing so good at 300 yards are cast from straight sailboat lead, as-is.

and my cast bullets are not that great

I do let me get home on my desktop and I’ll post the link. I can’t do anything from my phone. I’ll also post a new Target from this morning.

oscarflyter, you guys may have to help me here. Here is the link to the sheet. I will have to select download in the upper left under "file". Download in the file format of your desire. Let me know if it does not work and I will try and make it work.

Make sure you select the BLANK sheet tab at the bottom of the page first!

This morning's target did very well. The groups are consistent, and it is time to bring the group left a tad for tomorrow mornings sesson.

Unfortunately the video did not have sound, I will upload it later.

shot numbers are in sequence

I am able to download the file in Excel.  All good - EXCEPT - in the blank tab, I get everything except the 5 ring target.  Not sure how you have that set up.  If I can get it all in Excel, AND that target ring - I am off to the races.  I know, in Excel, it may something special you built the file with that I am just not aware of.  Feel free to pm me if that is better.  Sure we can figure it out!  Thanx

Steve

If you can edit your format, maybe I can email you the image, and you can add it to the form

Excellent!

It also reminds me I need to make a minor drift on the sights on my 92.  Most impacts are just left of the center line.

I bought a set of RCBS cowboy dies.  They size farther down the neck than my Redding die set. Both hit the shell holder before the shoulder gets bumped.  The RCBS sized brass holds bullets much more securely. I am looking forward to a light wind day to test things.    No way either die set will give me the wasp waisted look that you suggest.  Anyhow the Lyman WW 427098s aren’t moving even before a crimp is applied now. That bullet has been a better shooter so far than the 43-215C.   With the grip on them now I really don’t fear a bullet setback now.  The Lyman bullet is getting hit with a light profile crimp.  The Kort bullet is getting a roll crimp as it folds better to lock in the crimp groove.   I may keep the WW bullet alloy for the Lyman and the 30:1 or another soft bimetallic alloy for the 43-215C in case I want to hunt with it.

Good report Lance!!!

Yesterday's target was a bit better with the shots pulling left with a slight scope adjustment. Now if I could just the the vertical string fixed. I do believe that will be the results of the Reloder 7 and weather.

Score sheet copied good for me.

Assuming the score rings represent the 1874 #1 target with 8" bull?

That is correct Larry, thanks for the heads up!

Bullseye is 8", inner ring is 16", middle ring is 28" and outer ring is 40"

Target was used at 200 and 300 yards from what I read.

That's the one I figured it was....not sure I'm goona see an 8" bull at 300 yards too well with iron sights.  Gonna try it though.....

That’s my problem a lot of the time.  I can shoot relatively tight groups with iron sight to test loads at 50 yards,…..even at a 100 with iron sights and a round bull target holding or maybe more accurately, seeing center to shoot a good group is the challenge.  I am often unsure if the load didn’t hold up, or my eyes didn’t hold up, Therefore I repeat tests fairly often.

With my Italian hiwall .38-55 it’s a bit easier now since I added the Lyman globe sight.  The ‘92 isn’t getting any such enhancements.

*Not sure why it looks like I am stuck writing within the quote block.  I wasn’t able to get my curser to select beyond it on my Ipad.  Hence the line of delineation.

The 4' x 4' target looks really small at 300 yards, just center up on it :-)
