I just received an update from Mike Duke. match director at Spokane Rifle Club that the fire has resulted in a total loss of the clubhouse, rifle, and pistol ranges. The number of homes lost in this same fire is monumental. Local law enforcement has arrested a suspect. All Spokane matches are on hold obviously.

Prayers are needed for the people of Spokane and Spokane Rifle Club,

Edited to move to where replying is permitted.

One more place to shoot and congregate is gone. With some luck and hard work I hope the club recovers. I am thankful that no one seems to have been harmed.

Same as Mark, to date I've not heard of any fatalities or serious injuries. Local reports state at least 750 structures were lost most of which were homes and 65,000 people were evacuated.

I expect SRC will be rebuilt once things settle down. The pictures I've seen show some things that didn't burn, like the wood benches for the 200yd range and the wood target stands with corrugated plastic backers on the 100yd range. The 2 wood sheds at the bottom of the entrance were untouched but everything north of them is ashes.

The trap/skeet clubhouse burned to the ground but from pictures the other structures on the south range appeared to be intact without damage.

Homes along Rifle Club Rd, and others all around them, are gone.

I have confirmed that the shotgun house, north range club house, 100 yd and pistol range covers have all burned to the ground along with a few outbuildings and the eyebrow covers over the 100 and 200 yd berms. The indoor range recieved no damage SRC, is currently evaluating the total damage and working toward getting the rebuild process started.
