I probably understand this wrong, but, why just use either Lee or NOE push thru dies.

Cost. If like me, he already owns 25 or 30 RCBS and Lyman dies.

Portos - Suggest you make up a flat faced top punch to push on the base of your bullets to size them nose first with lube backed off. Then lube with a second operation, base first with correct top punch for the bullet nose.

what  Rick said:  30  lyman/rcbs; and 12 redding/saeco. i already have the NOE sizers; but i like more stuff.     i found the source of the die i was looking for. it is on   "the art and science of bullet casting"  KEITH B  makes them. a lot of stuff for the price.

A lyman die will slide into the guts of a Lee neck size Collet die. That's what I used a few years back. I will have to dig it out and see what I needed to do to secure it or if it just stuck in there.IIRC I used a spare. 222 die

The other option is take the ejector rod "I" out of the die body "H" and pull the bottom " depth stop " out of the press and make a long punch, and just let em drop through. I've done it that way

here is a highly professional napkin sketch of a generic expander/nose sizer/spring pin punch/bottle cap opener insert that goes into one of Lee's genius inventions...

the Lee expander die ...  if you obtain some 9/16 round bar stock ... steel or aluminum ....  you could make a lot of gadgets pretty quick on a mini-lathe ...

I couldn't reload without my sherline lathe and mill.it really allows some freedom when I get a wild hair to try something.
