Today I went to the gun shop I used to get my reloading supplies at, first time in almost 2 years. I wanted to go since I didn’t want go pay hazmat for powder and figured it’d be cheaper also (it was). I was surprised how much powder and primers they had in stock and prices were reasonable (at least for the current market). However they did not have Alliant 2400 or Bullseye in any size and said they hadn’t gotten any since august. They had shooters world clean shot, in 5lb containers for a decent price. Per their info the burn rate is the same a bullseye. The shop said they may start to carry it permanently if they get good feedback. Anyone else here have experience with clean shot or other shooters world powders? Thanks

I have been using Shooter's World powder since they became available many years ago. They are a good value and burn just like all the other brand powders.

I prefer to buy powders locally so I can pay cash. I do not want the credit card companies keeping a list of my purchases.
Yes, I am paranoid but the government gives me good reason.
I have been using Vihtavuori powders a lot because they were available when nothing else was. They are in good stock in some places now. N320 is good for most light and moderate pistol and light rifle. VV was always more expensive but 52$ a pound does not sound so bad now that Bullseye is catching up.
This clean shot was $111 for 5 lbs. this shop is one of the best in my area of the state for components. Said they may carry the whole line if they get good feedback.
I have been using these Lovex powders for a while now and am very pleased with them. I have also learned that Buffalo Rifle *IS* Accurate 5744 and Heavy Pistol *IS* Accurate #9. In fact, the very same reference lot of 5744 used to make 5744 is STILL used to make Buffalo Rifle. Knowing this about these two powders, I would assume there are some clear similarities between other Lovex powders and the Accurate powders. Lovex is rapidly working on expanding their load database to include other calibers and bullet weights. As always, follow their specific load suggestions as found in the Lovex loading guide. Powder recipes can change at any time for any reason.
Simply put, I would not hesitate a moment to use these powders. I have always used Accurate Arms and Accurate powders and knowing what I do about the Lovex brand, I highly recommend their use. Plus......they are less expensive! With the price of Accurate 5744 and my shooting of big-bore straight-wall cartridges, Lovex Buffalo Rifle has kept me in the game. Accurate 5744 is now priced out of my budget.
As my supply of faster pistol powders is exhausted, I will replace them with Lovex powders; assuming the prices remain lower than the counterpart powders.
With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.
My LGS had plenty of Alliant powder last week, and about 30 different kinds of powder all told. Trouble was, I told him to ring up a pound of Bullseye without asking the price....
It was $49 a pound~!
But then again - I didn't have to pay Hazmat or shipping. I would have had to pay sales tax either way. And really, sadly, that is only a couple trips to town for hamburgers.
I bought 10lb since they said they’ve been waiting months for Alliant powder. Hopefully I can figure out a replacement for 2400
Buffalo has been a great substitute for 5744. Usually more reasonable price and works as well or better. I'm on my 2nd 8 pounder now.
Been shooting Cleanshot in .357mag, 45 ACP and .327Fed Mag, similar to AA No.2, burns clean and the accuracy is good, on my second pound
My friend is using it also with good results
I found a load manual online, Lovex is the mfg. https://shootersworldpowder.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Shooters-world-reloading-manual-12-16-16.pdf
