Recently I purchased a Ruger American because I wanted a bolt action with an AR style magazine ability to shoot prairie dogs. I decided to try my 55 gr Lee cast WW bullets any my standard load of 10.9 gr of 2400. I have been amazed at the accuracy of this 1 in 8" twist rifle to shoot cast bullets at 2000 to 2100 fps.
