I trust the people on this board so I thought I would ask here first. I have two Redding Powder measures, a 3br and a 10x pistol. Can the drums be reversed to put the handle on the other side? It seems like the answer should be obvious, but I've learned the hard way that obvious answers aren't always right.  Thanks

I think it could be reversed but the scale numbers for your load would not be visible.  Just trying to visualize it, I think the throw handle and the powder chamber would be backward also.

You want to reverse it because your left handed?

Set it to throw as is, then turn the measure 180 degrees in the stand. You won't see any numbers but the handle will be on the other side.

On my Redding measure I took the handle off and hold the adjustment thing between 2 fingers like holding a cigar and drop powder that way. Either hand would work. I have no idea why I started doing it this way but it works for me and seems more natural. But I'm a cigar smoker so that probably helps.

I normally do not make assumptions however if it is just like the RCBS Uniflow, then the answer is yes it will work with the handle either side.

Problem solved, yes, the drum can be reversed. The only difference is that the handle is a little higher starting out, but that's no issue.

The reason is, I had just moved the powder measure lower onto the left on the bench, and now everything was really awkward. My powder scale, like most I suppose, is set up strictly for right handed use. When you have the pan in your right hand, and the handle for the measure is on the right, it just doesn't make for a smooth flow of operation.

Thanks for all the replies, Tim
