Trying to get ready for the ASSRA Summer shoot at Beeson’s in Indiana. I want to shoot their offhand matches, but I have a nasty foot problem making it difficult to shoot standing. A bad foot is not the only reason for my crappy offhand shooting. I am creeping up on old age. So, if I find out Offhand is not going to work, I could try some Bench Rest shooting which is not something totally new for me. It’s just that I don’ have a lot of patience waiting for a condition to return.
Cast up around 500 Doc Brewer bullets. Two different cavities but they shoot about the same. 106.0 grain and a 111.0 grain bullets. These are groups at 100 yards. Breech seated.

I had been using Rem 7 ½ primers and since I had some CCI 450 Mag and CCI BR4 primers I thought I would check for any grouping difference.
I loaded 15 cases with each primer and the groups are 14 shots each. I had been shooting at 200 yards and had the scope off the rifle and the impact area was about 7 inches high when I returned to my 100 yard setting. I used one round of each primer and 3 fouling shots to get my groups back to where I wanted them. 48 rounds total loaded at home and capped the cases with floral foam.
The powder used is Win 540 / HS6. 5.6 grains which gives a velocity average of 1361 fps.
The group measurements are outside to outside edge.
The rifle is a Cody Ballard with a Ron Smith gain twist barrel chambered for the 25-20 Winchester cartridge.

I shot at the wrong target 3 times. I put the 3 stray shots target over the right target and marked there position with a black sharpie.
