Once again, Accurate #7 has saved the day with both the 9mm and now, the 38 Super. Years ago when loading 124gr and 147gr bullets for the 9mm, I could play Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals as the bullets "whizzed" down range with amazing frequencies. I addressed the matter on another forum and after almost a hundred lengthy "fixes" to the problem, which as you can guess, covered the full spectrum of ideas, a member who did not have a lot of posts but had been a member for a million years made a two word post. He posted "Accurate #7".

Son of a gun.....it worked and the groups went from 2 feet to 2 inches with no whizzing or key-holing.

Today after experimenting with 124gr cast pills for the 38 Super and various powders yielding substandard grouping, I tried the H.R. Funk suggested fix of.......you guessed it.....Accurate #7. Once again, #7 stepped up to the plate and delivered exception performance closing the group size with the 124gr bullets.

I have always been impressed with the Accurate powders across the board. The accurate powders are also listed in the Lee manual while most others avoid them for some reason. Could be that Accurate wasn't around 40 years ago when I got those manuals. embarassed

With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.

Aaron, At lot of Accurate problems were availability. Once they moved to Miles City, MT, things got better out here, but not all powders were available. I always keep some AA#7 around for loading the 7.62x25. I have always been comfortable with Accurate' s second edition manual. Ric
