Took the Krag apart, hope these photos are clear showing the work on this unique Krag. The inletting is superb.

That's not what I had in mind for a design. So the shells feed up from the left side? What goes in the gap under the action? Sorry I have zero experience with the Krag.  Within the last year I have seen 2 pictures of customs with blind mags and each were grand looking rifles.  Sorry for the dumb questions.

If I understand your question. When shells are  pushed down from the top, they go straight down into the blind magazine. There is no exposed part of the magazine on the left side of the Krag. Hope this answers your question. Have a good day.

Thanks for posting these pictures. I've owned a few Krag's over the years but had never heard of this conversion until now.
