Lucky 1 & I have been chatting for sometime. The only thing obvious is no one agrees on what could be a fun yet competitive match. No national tournament, no national records . Nothing more than a atta boy , congratulations, top gun award. Bragging rights only. Lucky 1 calls them orphans of benchrest. I call them the misfits. Maybe the forum can figure a better name.

I’m proposing a match that’s shot at any sanctioned club. All shooters regardless of class shoot on our military targets. You may very well be the only shooter at the chosen club shooting in this particular match. You will shoot under the standard time limits the match director says. In other words if a conventional match is being shot the time frame is ten minutes. If you happen to be at a club having a military match the time frame is fifteen minutes per relay. This is on a bench available decision of the match director. Everyone is welcome. We would need commitments of three or more individuals for a legal match. This could be all at one club or one at three different clubs. We can decide a winner at the end of the year or time frame. This gives everyone plenty of time to get to a club. It also gives you multiple chances to improve your score. Match directors simply text me the shooter ID and class. I volunteer to compile a list of shooters to determine the winner. The top scores can be posted on our forum for all to see. If your score isn’t as high simply try again. This is similar to a postal but we decide what to shoot based on what our shooters want. This is intended for firearms that don’t fit present classes. Also for anyone who might wish to shoot iron sights firearms. Or anything we can agree on before posting the match. So if you want a lever, pump, auto, break open, Sharps, Hi wall, low wall whatever. Here’s your chance. We have all winter to chat on the forum and find what misfit you would like to shoot.  Let’s make it happen.
