First post.

I've been shooting military scoped (03A3) for 4 years. The horizontal crosshair on my Weaver T6 came loose.

What other scopes would you recommend tor military scoped.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Welcome Terry,

All the years I shot Scoped, I used a Lyman All American fixed 6X that had 1/4 minute clicks. While old, they are exceptionally clear lenses and adjustments are built like a tank.

With that said, IMHO, you are better to find a fixed 6X scope than a variable. Then you know you are at the full power and not just reading from a scale. The T6 and the Leupold fixed 6X are both very good for Scoped class. It is not a questions of lenses, but the guts have to withstand constant small adjustments.

The Leupold 6x competition scope is a good choice if your eyes are strong enough to see the extra fine cross hairs. I had to sell mine and go to the Weaver T-6, their cross hairs are thicker.

I had a Weaver T-36 suffer a similar failure. Under the impression Bushnell did Weaver warranty work,  I sent it to Bushnell for repairs. But....Bushnell no longer does the repair work, instead they let you pick one of theirs as a replacement.

Kind of curious why most seem to opt for replacement rather than repair.  I’ve had a number of scopes repaired or modified (power increased, thinner crosshairs, smaller dots etc.).  Bill C

Many times the cost of repair is more than the price of a new scope.

If you can find a Leupold 6x competition scope you can send it in and get the reticle you want.  I opted for their fine duplex since I didn't care for the concept of aiming at a big black dot with a little black dot.
