Got a new Henry Big Boy carbine in .357 mag the other day!!!  Had it on layaway at Sportsman's for nearly a week.  I just couldn't stand it so sucked it up and brought it home.  I could swear I could hear it calling.  When I put it on layaway I had the guy behind the counter take a picture of me holding it so I could show my wife what I was spending a bunch of money on that we didn't have.  Really don't have it now, but she loves the gun too. Now I just have to get a Skinner aperture sight and all will be right with my world. . .for while anyway.

If your Wife likes that carbine, You Are Lucky !!!

Long time Caster/Reloader, Getting back into it after almost 10yrs. Life Member NRA 40+yrs, Life S.A.S.S. #375. Does this mean a description of me as a fumble-fingered knuckle-draggin' baboon. I also drool in my sleep. I firmly believe that true happiness is a warm gun. Did I mention how much I HATE auto-correct on this blasted tablet.

No, if Terry's wife LIKES that carbine he may have to buy another one for himself.

What's not to like about two carbines?

I am lucky in that regard.  Actually she convinced me to go ahead and get it out.  Believe me it didn't take much to persuade me.  I am fortunate in that she is quite a marksman herself and has in her personal arsenal a S&W .41 mag, 9mm, .44 mag, Weatherby .270, Marlin .41mag, and a real nice little 5 shot .38 revolver for personal carry.  But Brodie is right, I better not let her shoot it.  I already lost one gun to her that way and had to buy a replacement. But having two of them. . . .hmmmmmmm. . .maybe. . .laughing

Gun friendly is just one of my wife's wonderful traits. God has blessed me with a good one.

Is that ammo on the shelf behind you?  Been a while since I've seen that.

I enjoy shooting my Henry big boy 44 mag. Found softer alloys work better than the hard stuff.

I just bought one in .357 also just like yours...and my wife likes it too.

I guess I must have married your wife's sister!

The trick to handling wives who aren't gun friendly, is to accumulate so many guns that they have no idea when you bring in a new one.

You will love shooting that gun. I had one for a few years. I gave it away to my Son In Law after my Son died. He and I used to really enjoy shooting it (my Grand Daughter likes shooting the 45 Colt). Part of the reason I gave it away is it is just to beautiful to put a scope on and my eyes are getting so bad that I just cant see through the iron or the Skinner Sights. I purchased one of the X models, not as beautiful but very functional and just as accurate. I have supressors, I really like shooting it suppressed. It loves my powder coated cast bullets, I load them up with H-110 for a nice cartridge and only cost me about .10 cents a round. Thank God I have Lots of primers and powders.
