I have about 100 pounds of lino picked up years ago. Another 300 pounds pure lead.  Can I do a mix to get around 20-1 hardness for CB  shooting bench? OR sell the lino and just by pure tin and do the regular batch...1# tin to 20# lead? thankyou

8 lb Lead + 1 lb Linotype should get ya around 10 BHN

20 - 1 Lead + Tin alloy is about 10 BHN.

Using the Alloy calculator at: https://bulletmatch.com/pages/lead-alloy-calculator

7-8 pounds lead to 1/2 pound( 8 ounces) should get ya around 9 BHN

25-1 lead to tin is about 9 BHN

Here is a chart on page 5 of this link that shows some of the assorted alloys you can mix up:
https://www.artfulbullet.com/documents/Kelter_Cast_Bullet_Alloys2.pdf

Actually the whole thing is a good reference & read. Ya might want to bookmark it. ;-)

With that and the link I provided to the alloy calculator in my first reply, now You can go toy around & find assorted alloys on your own to get the answers ya seek.

I do not mind helping out a bit, but I also like to see others go do some research on their own,  as well.   LOL  JB

G'Luck~!  & Have fun~!

I'd sell the linotype or use it for another ternary alloy.  I'd get tin to mix at 20-1 with the lead for a real 20-1 binary alloy and a much better 20-1 alloy at that.
