Just wanted to let you know that my father, Joseph F. Brennan Jr., passed away yesterday. He enjoyed talking about this craft so much, and it was a big part of his life. Thank you for your questions, advice and interactions with my dad over the years!

Sincerely,

Leslie

Joe was a unique character, an independent thinker, a tireless experimenter, and wrote and compiled over 600 pages one of the best sources of cast bullet information ever published. He never tried to make a penny from his many years of providing good information including dispelling many of. the cast bullet myths that hold our sport back. All his writings were available free on the internet as well as being sold for many years in printed form by the CBA with Joe's permission. This provided a significant steady stream of income for our association.

He also provided the shooting community with a unique set of easy to understand and use aids for applying practical statistics to analyze the results of  our shooting.

Joe didn't suffer fools gladly and had a well tuned BS detector. He was no stranger to conflict on our forum as well as other cast bullet forums when he challenged the convention wisdom for cast bullet shooting. This sometimes got out of hand and I once banned him from our forum for six months in spite of considering him a close friend.

In my opinion, Joe was one of a few outstanding cast bullet writers in my lifetime. Many cast bullet shooters have benefited from Joe's work whether they know it of not .

I enjoyed exchanging ideas and working with him for many years and considered him a good friend in spite of never meeting him in person. I will miss him.

John,

That's about the best eulogy anyone could have given him. Sums him up perfectly and gave us a laugh.
