I enter hospice today. It's been one Hell of a ride.

Sorry to hear that Bud. I've been wondering where you've been and glad to hear the trip has been a good one for you. I'm sure you have all your arrangements made to make it easier for Alice. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

EDIT

Hope springs eternal in the human breast.

After a year on hospice, I managed to get my wife kicked off of hospice.

Put over 20 pounds on a dying woman.

My day is made if I get a smile or an "I love you" from her.

She is still my beautiful bride after 54 years.

Sometimes her mind comes back for a brief visit.

So please do not give up all hope.

Bud, you probably won’t remember this but you and I measured groups @ the CBA first Military NT (2007?). That was in South Sioux City, IA.

That might have been the match where Duane had everyone over to his house for fried chicken. Afterwards he gave a nice tour of his “small” collection of vaults that were stuffed! If correct, hopefully you remember it.

Here on the forum I’ve enjoyed your input, observations, corrections, etc. Experience such as yours has been helpful for many of us and it will be missed…..Thank you!

I remember Bud clicking the like button on a few of my post. Hearing of his situation makes me feel sad. Please everyone try to stay busy and positive. Maybe cast a few bullets today.

Had you in mind today while shooting the 1886 rifle with cast bullets and gobs of powder. Got the heck kicked out of me but had fun.

With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.

Bud - obviously we haven't met, but still sorry to hear of your demotion. It's coming to all of us.

I have appreciated your acknowledgement, and hence support, on my various posts.

Keep your tail up and keep on sharing your experience while you still can.

Confidence, and what you think of yourself, is important, so stay engaged and we'll all be the better for it.

You are only as good as your library.
