There is an Eagan mold for sale on ebay. $125 for a 35 cal rifle bullet. No info was posted on the bullet style and model #. Not even identified as an Eagan mold. Listed under brass bullet molds. I don't need a 35 cal mold.

I went back through his old catalogs, and found two .32/40 styles and one .338. Nothing larger, so seller doesn't know what he has.

he did make a 35, Bill Anderson in Camas had one.I borrowed it a few times in fact. I have a .318 Eagan that's a one off as well as a .225 that is also a custom.

looking at the ebay mold the scale of it seems like .30 to me?

Originally there were 2 molds for sale, a 35 cal. that is still for sale, and a 30 cal which I bought. It is supposed to arrive Monday and I will forward any makings that are on the mold but not listed on the ebay posting. He thinks they are MP molds, they aren't. I have 3 Eagan molds and I know what they look like.

The mold has arrived and it is definitely an Eagan mold. There are no stampings to indicate the calibre or style but it closely resembles the KBR in style ,length, and weight. This mold tapers down more quickly and the last driving band is smaller. The only marking other than the mold block ID was SBR written in pencil on the blocks in 6 different places. There is also no sprue plate or brass spacer for the plate. I'll have to make those. Eagan made several bullets in this style and I was hoping to get one of the longer styles.

Possible that this was an experiment or just a mold that wasn't quite finished?????  Any guesses??

a guy selling on eBay years ago (ricketts)bought up Don Eagans stuff from his estate. He bought quite A few unmarked and Eagan personal molds and actually took the time to have sprue plates made in ones that were unfinished. The sprue plates he had made did not have the pivot bushing eccentric, so you could center the sprue hole. That's one way you can tell if its an original plate.

I Talk to egan in the phone a few times a couple years before passed. He was a pretty nice guy. I was wanting him to make me a custom 35 nose pour. At the time, I was raising kids and didn't have the two hundred bucks!!

Years ago I picked up several new Eagan moulds from 3rd party that were only marked with black magic marker.  They were complete, but no markings other than magic marker.

Hello Ross,

Have you figured what caliber the mold is.

If it happened to be under size, say .318-.321 I would like to have it.

Thanks,
