Clamp on BBL mount for dovetail sights?

basically want to mount a windguage front on a 1878 military borchardt with out cuttin a dovetail.  thanks   B

I modified a clamp on  for an AR15 match rifle.it had a base for a Redfield (unertl base) type front sight.

might be an option with a slight amount of work though the sight ends up high 

"if it was easy we'd let women do it" don't tell my wife I said that!

What is the diameter of the barrel at the muzzle?  I have mounted a flashlight on a shotgun barrel by clamping a Weaver scope ring (with a little shim) on the barrel and attaching the flashlight to the ring.
