Hello

I have been shooting German schuetzen rifles for over 40 years and have always used 12-14 grains IMR4227, standard rifle primer, and 170 grain stop ring bullet cast 25 to 1. During the dark days of Covid, I was only able to find 300-MP, I bought an 8lb jug. I have a few questions, does it work well with reduced loads, does it require a Mag primer (I have several thousand standard large rifle primers), does it burn cleanly with low pressure loads? Any comments or information is appreciated.
Thanks Mike

32-40, 1-14 twist Douglas, No.1Ruger, 36X Leupold,

I have burned 8# already, 12.8-13.2 seems best in my rifle, about 1435fps

I use WLRM large rifle Mag primers, and CCI Mag Large pistol primers

both worked well, Fed215, Rem 9 1/2M, standard LR not as good

This is Breach seating a PJ copy 212gr, or NOE 323323 Lyman copy
