When inserting a link into your text of a post, always make it a “live” or “hyperlink” as a courtesy to the reader. No one likes to see a link to a webpage and not be able to just click on it to go to the page. Having to copy and paste the link into your address bar is not needed when it is a live link.

It is simple to do and can be done one of two ways, just type or paste the link into the text. Then highlight the link and right click to copy it. Now click the “hyperlink” symbol in the text toolbar (the broken rectangle with the line in the middle), then paste the link or url into the “url” box. Change the target to “new window” and click ok. Now the link or url will be live after you have created your post.

The other way is to leave your cursor at the point you want to insert the link. Open the hyperlink box and paste the link url in the box as before. Again change the target to new window and click ok. Then link is now in your text. This is the easiest way because you normally have the copied url ready to paste.

This just makes our forum easier and more friendly to use.
