I'm at home with time on my hands due to a brush with the Hospital. I'll be at the bench soon but between now and then I'd like to ask a question? What Mold?
The Rifle in question is a Rem, XP100, 1-12, 20" barrel, unknown manufacture. Has seen some copper but now CB only chambered in 223 Wild weighing in at 11.4lb with a Weaver 36x and mounts. Bedded solid. The best so far is 1.750" at 100y.
I've been casting for a long time but can always use advice.

My first recommendation is the 225646. It has a very long bearing area and a short nose.The design works well with simple sizing to a chamber slide fit on chambering and the steep nose set to engage the slope of the lands .010" gives the double whammy on stability of the bullet in the chamber. That is an important factor in accuracy.

I tumble lube once lightly before size/check and twice after with White's Deluxe 45:45:10. I warm the bullets and lube before use and the bullets are dry, the lube is clear and tack free and ready to load in 5 minutes.

My size doesn't matter to your rifle. Ink test a dummy round to verify chamber slide fit. Any less subtracts accuracy potential. My XP100 has been gone a lot of years.

I can send you some of the 80 grain Noe bullets to try. I shortened the gas check shank .040. these are cast using soft 10 bhn alloy with a bore ride section diameter of .219. Load these using 7 grains of Tite group and you will shoot tight groups. These work best in my 1/12 twist Remington with 20" barrel.
