What is it?

This is Holgar. I am new to the whole cast bullet thing. I found this cast iron pot that has a flat bottom, pour spots on both sides, and oddly, what seems to be a threaded hole in the center of the bottom. It also has the raised numbers 232in the bottom. What is it, who makes it, and what do I need to use this to melt lead? Is it part of a set? I can attach a picture tomorrow.
