I have been using 4x6's 4x8's or 6x6's for years to mount my presses to the bench I find I can usually get them for free at building sites or lumber outlets as they just want to get rid of them anyways due to not being able to sell short pieces. As you can see from the attached pictures I use bolts that go all the way through the bench ,wood and press to provide a very solid mount, I also put one further back to stabilize it even more. I also put a white piece of laminated shelving available at any home supply store and cut to length which is 2 inches wider than the 4x6 using as it form a nice shelf to mount case gauges on for quick use.Picture 1Picture 3Picture 4. Hello wimilkman,

Neat setup. I wish I could keep my reloading area this neat. I'm always adding more storage or getting more tooling and eventually have to add more space after things get so cluttered, I can't stand it any longer.

Nicely done. I really like the primer disposal idea.

Mashburn,

Trust me I know your dilemma , our gun club I belong to here in Las Vegas NV had a swap meet a year ago so I unloaded pretty much everything I did not use or need . This works out well for me, I have been reloading for 25 years and it keeps it pretty organized for me , like I said I know how quickly it can get out of hand and drive you crazy. I find wood makes an easy mounting medium that you can attach things to.

Have a great week, Fred

Sluggo,

I came up with the primer disposal idea out of frustration with the old Lee Value Turret press as there was no place for the primers to go except into the body of the press which is hollow on the bottom, that press on the left is 25 years old I just recently updated the linkage with there kit. After discovering that the base was hollow and had no bottom to it I drilled a half inch hole in the 4x6 and used a long center punch to mark the spot on the bench and drilled the same size hole in it. The white piece is a irrigation coupler that takes a 2 inch pipe reduces it to 3/4 inch, I picked up the all the pieces at the hardware store. They are held together by just a few short screws I had in my junk box. I did drill a small hole in the white piece and used a longer screw I had to slightly tighten against the inserted pipe as a set screw just to hold it, but have not had to use it yet.

Thanks for the interest, have a great week, Fred
