Russell (Rusty, Uncle Russ) Harman passed away April 14, 2018, age 67. While a member of the CBA for many years, he had not been very active due to ill health. He was a patron of the NRA. A former WA state Skeet Champion, High Power Shooter, Secretary of the WA State Rifle and Pistol Association and Treasurer of the Yakima Rifle and Pistol Association for 35 years. In the early 1990’s Russ began casting bullets for his handgun plinking. Then he began shooting cast bullets in military rifles and shooting postal CBA matches. Russ owned an electrical contracting and design business and designed the first computer controlled atmosphere fruit warehouses and agricultural irrigation systems. His business took him to throughout Europe, North America and Korea where he gathered and shared shooting stories. In 1995 he built his first PID control lead pot controller and helped others building or designing their own. He was a proud “Tin Can” sailor and served in the Gulf of Tonkin and North Atlantic.

Uncle Russ was a good friend and shooting buddy. His knowledge was so vast when i had a problem with a piece of equipment he was the first person i called on. Ric Russ and i would meet at the range whenever Russ was healthy enough to shoot. He will be missed by all who knew him.

if you think you have it figured out then you just dont understand

I do remember him and swapped info with him concerning PID controllers. He seemed like a very nice man.

If someone else had of done to me what I did to myself . . . I'd have killed him. Humility is an asset. Heh - heh.
