While editing my original post regarding the 8.6 Blackout brass now offered by Starline, I accidentally deleted the post. Sorry to David Reiss and another whose name I did not get prior to my error. I saw the email from the last poster and he correctly said I was showing my age!

Anyhow, Starline now has 8.6 Blackout for your black plastic toys. Perhaps they will offer 35 Remington in the near future.

With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.

Of all the things on back order they decided to make this !?!   I give it a life span of less than five years.  Hey Starline you listening ?

But they have refused for years to make any number of cartridge cases that we have begged them to make. I'm less than impressed.

Speaking of the .50-70, there is a nice 6-page article on that round in the Fall 2024 issue of The Black Powder Cartridge News. Much of the article looks at the round beiing used at the annual Quigley match in Montana, by two different shooters. This event often takes place over Father's Day weekend. A LOT of people attend. This year there were approximately 575-shooters. The farthest target is a buffalo silhouette at 805-yards. All other targets have shorter distances than that.

I've shot a few NRA Black Powder rifle silhouette matches with my 40-70 Sharps (416-grain plain base cast bullet) and those 500-meter rams are just a small dot, as you look through your iron sights. But those matches are a blast!

There minimum run order for one buyer is 100,000 cases. The minimum that they will set up for to have stock is 250,000 cases. Don't think they can sell that many 35 Remington.
