Revolver Cylinder Face Leading

Does powder coating eliminate leading in this area (cylinder face and forcing cone area).

If powder coating eliminates leading in revolvers, it sure would eliminate it in our rifles. Now I must try bumped powder coated rifle bullets. Sorry for being late to the game.

I have only used Eastwood Mirror Red. Spindrift in another thread lists several good and several not so good, all Eastwood products.

Thanks. I have a SW 686 that I love to shoot cast, but I did not like having to clean lead from cylinder gap area. Now it is time to powder coat some bullets using the tumble method.

Does color make a difference. Seems Red would expose problems easier, because it is easier to see.

In my experience it may not eliminate it, but it sure does minimize it.  I have a 1959 vintage .357 Blackhawk that has a very rough (tool marks) forcing cone.  With wax lubed bullets, the lead really builds up in this area.  With Powder coat it stays very clean.
