The title says it all.

I have a friend with a damaged Unertl scope.

Any ideas about who can repair?

Thanks for any suggestions.

John

I think Lilja works on these style scopes. Or maybe they can help.

You best be very patient as turn around is a year or more.

Do a search and ask a question on ASSRA.com.  I thought there was a sticky post there but couldn't find it.

CPA does not repair scopes. Possibly, Gail at CPA rifles can point you to a good repair shop. She has helped several people in the past find help;

I used Parsons until Gil passed and then things weren't the same. I had this fellow recommended to me and had him re-glue a separated objective on a Lyman Super Target. He fixed a problem in the mount that I didn't even ask about and didn't charge me. Excellent work and quicker than anyone else I know. He's in NJ but I wouldn't hold that against him.

Hello John,

There was a young man in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a few years ago. I don't know if he is still in business of not. He did good work and turn around was very fast. I did have his business card but I gave it to the man that I sold my last Unertl to. I had him do some repairs on a Unertl and an old Lyman. He could possibly be located on a google search. He is quite trust worthy.

Squid boy: could you be more specific about things not the same?  Did you have unsatisfactory work done? Did repairs take longer or weren't done correctly?  Were repairs too expensive? I'd like to know why you stopped using Parsons. Thanks

Balhincher, sorry for the slow reply but what happened was I sent a German variable in to have the reticle replaced. I checked on it once or twice and after more than a year was told they don't work on these anymore and they sent it back in the same condition. I guess I wouldn't have been so annoyed if I hadn't discussed the problem with them first but I did and expected the work to be done. I had used them several times before to repair various German scopes and even binoculars. Usually a little slow but always did a great job. I would have a hard time recommending them again after this. Thanks, Squid Boy

The guy repairing scopes in Tulsa is Iron Sight. He used to be my neighbor and I have an old Redfield scope he repaired for me. This is his web page https://ironsightinc.com/

Hello skeet 1

I'm not sure if this is the man, in Tulsa,  that I used about 17 or 18 years ago or not. It's been too long.
