I have a chance to buy a Savage 112-.223,just like the one I shoot in production postal matches. Wood stock, stainless,fluted barrel, however stock has been shortened 1 in. rifle weighs 4oz. less then mine, still under 12lbs.Can we cut off stocks in production class? Thank You--Nosee

Shortening the butt stock is not prohibited. Recontouring the stock -- maybe making the bottom of the forend flatter is prohibited.
