For any new or new to me personal defense auto, at least fifty rounds of the  intended ammo should be run through it with zero stoppages  before you stake your life on it.

Better yet get 2 boxes of commercial Speer gold dot or Winchester silver tips. Fire one box and should all feed and fire, box 2 is qualified for serious use.

Did that puppy come with two magazines?

all guns jam ..  mostly dirt or bad/mismatched ammo or a bad magazine in an autoloader.  but sometimes with commercial ammo it just doesn't like.

even my beloved Beretta 92S has jammed once since 1984 ... of course it was while i was showing off ... and with a bad PREMIUM  $1.50 each Hornady home defense round.

so we really should try to find a " mostly " reliable factory ammo that your gun specifically likes ...also of course this extra practice will imprint better just how to muscle-memory make the gun work in case of a high stress situation.

besides, shooting is fun ! ...

not to put down Taurus at all .. i might even prefer the Taurus 92 to my genuine Beretta ... and i love my Taurus 63, a decent clone of the Win. 63 22 auto.
