a buddy stopped by with his shiny new plastic assault rifle in 350 legend and 200 rounds of ammo with copper bullets sticking out front ... he assured me the thing was legal. ... i asked him if it came with a hand crank ...
a few hours later he was back and was so depressed that i had to drag it out of him that he had wounded y lost one deer and then missed another one at 30 yards when the gun jammed again ... right in front of his 14 year old son ...

i told him to come back next morning ... meanwhile i loaded up about 3 dozen of 45-70 with 405 gr flat nose plain base soft lead ... 25 gr. 2400 ... about a decent 1300 fps ... so his 130 pound kid could shoot them also ...
a little skeptical at first, but then after devastating a few pop cans and even the kid never missing ... he took my little Ruger 3 along to venture into the woods ... a couple hours later he shot a nice doe end to end and had it hung by nightfall ...
one shot one kill ...
i mentioned to him that that was the hot load that killed a million wild buffalo ... but i could further double the power if he thought he might need it ...
i think i have some guys circling the flame ..
