Sorry to inform the community of the passing of Jim Teller.  Jim was a long time CBA member and Military match competitor.  He and Wally Inga were responsible for recruiting me into the world of cast bullets.  Some of you might have met him at the CBA Nationals in 2019 (I think)  He was the unofficial chaplain at the MRNT for many years and was a true American hero,

Here's a link to his obituary:

So sorry to hear of his passing away. My condolences to the family.

Met Jim the year we shot the Nationals at the Dakota Benchrest Club range out of Sioux City. We were in Viet Nam at the same time and shared experiences and how it changed our lives. He was truly a gentle man with as heart as big as his body. RIP

Got this from Scott:

Jim's obituary gives a wonderful overview of his accomplishments in the military, education and CBA. It gives hints at the man who did them but there us so much more to him that is unsaid. Jim is one if the people I met at my first DBR match and welcomed me to the CBA. I had a terrible time at the start and he was one that encouraged me that it would be better and gave me some pointers without being judgemental or condescending.      Later on at Jim's only Nationals, he was the one having a terrible time with his rifle not working and had to actually borrow a rifle the first day. Jim, my wife and I used to meet in the clubhouse during the second relay and kibbutz over the previous relay. He was frustrated, yet remained upbeat and was more concerned how it was going for us and the other club members there. We had a number of in depth conversations over the weekend and we grew to appreciate his insight. He was always supportive of my wife Sharon when she started shooting benchrest and his encouragement was always appreciated.      Jim was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. His compassion, humor and insight was always an inspiration whenever he was around. We were lucky to have known him and miss him dearly.    Scott Ingle
