I mainly shoot high cap bottom feeders for USPSA competition and a little 2 gun.  However, my very first firearms were an old replica Navy .36 and a 50 cal percussion.  My curiosity finally won out and I just started casting my first bullets.  Mainly for 357 and 44 mag.   Of course that led to digging out the old percussion stuff.

I am also dabbling in powder coating for USPSA competition that is all I shoot.

I lurked on this site for a little while getting comfortable with as much information to get started.

I thought casting was a bit Voodoo, but not really.  Just a bit of science.

Now Black Powder shooting, that too me is Voodoo now.

I have a Lee 20# pot and several molds.  I built a PID for the toaster over for coating.  It's been a fun go for now.

rhett45acp, welcome to the forum!  Black Powder does seem a little Voodoo sometimes.  I've been trying some BP loads in my original Trapdoor, it's a lot of fun.

Welcome to the forum. I recommend loading up a few .44 mag. rounds (just a few, and don't forget to really clean your gun and the brass) with black and shooting them at dusk. Like Jerry Lee Lewis said "Great balls of fire!".

I'm just the opposite.  Been shooting cast for a long time and just recently got my first 9mm.  Such fun!  And it even works with cast bullets.  I've been using the Lee 124 grain TLTC.  It shoots good in my Taurus PT 92.  I don't even have to size it.
