Hi,
getting back into target shooting after a long hiatus. Decided to get into casting and black powder specifically. Been doing a lot of reading, and acquiring the gear to do so.
Pretty sure I'll have lots of questions.

BPCR . Working into 45-70, picked up a Shiloh Montana Roughrider a few weeks ago from Shiloh. Just haven't had time to set up my reloading gear. It's been in storage since 1999. Thankfully I have primers and some powders. I lucked into some Goex Fg , FFg and pyrodex P last week. The pyrodex is for horse trading.
Hoping to find some brass though.

Andrew, I've been shooting that bullet in my original Trapdoor, seems to shoot pretty good. I found better luck casting with a contact dipper, Lyman or RCBS than bottom pouring that bullet.

I thought that's what they looked like. I use it in a 577-450 Martini with good results. I do ladle cast them as well. Good luck, Squid Boy
