I really enjoyed Jeff's blog article about gallery loads in the 30-30. I have a similar load for my 30-30's which consists of a tumble lubed Lee 314-90-SWC with 4.5 grains of Trailboss. They are minute of clay portion accurate at 25 yards, have no perceptible recoil, and are pretty quiet, about like 22lr from a rifle. I was glad to discover a use for the Trailboss. I bought a can several years ago to see what it would go and was disappointed until I found this load. For pennies a round I can have all the plinking fun I want! That shoot great from my Marlin 336, and almost as good from my Savage 340. I would be interested in hearing about similar really light loads other use. What bullet weights and powders do you use? What firearms do you shoot them in?

I have long used the Lee TL 90 gr SWC as a "gallery" load in all my 30 and 31 caliber rifles. I TL them in LLA as cast then size .314. Those work fine in the 31 cals. For the 30 cals I then size them at .311. Sizing the lubed bullets keeps lube in the grooves and keeps the grooves from being swaged/wiped away. I cast them out of odds and ends of alloys left over from other castings.
In cases with capacity up through the 300 Savage I load them over 2.7 gr of Bullseye. In cases of capacity of 308W up through 30-06 I load them over 3.2 gr Bullseye. They run 800 - 900 fps +/- with those loads. and give excellent accuracy. Great for casual plinking, vermin and small game.
I also use cases with the flash holes drilled with such loads, especially in push feed actions.

I have a H&R Handi-rifle in 7.62X39. Mostly I use 3.0 grains of Bullseye and the Lyman 311241, 150 grain bullet. It shoots almost as well from the CZ American, although it prefers the Lyman 311316.

Use 5 grs of Bullseye in 30/06 30-40 and 243 Win. The 30's get the NOE 311-115 and the 243 the NOE 246-105. Low noise(sub-sonic), no recoil to speak of. and accuracy at 25 yards is amazing, although it begins to fall off badly past 50 yards.

NOE 460-186 lubed with SPG over 5 grains of Bullseye. All day 45-70 fun! This should also work great with tumble lube. I use the SPG because it is always set up for my Lee 405-hb bullets.

I've got the Lyman full wadcutter 32 mold. It shoots well out of my W 94 and my Contender rifle barrel.
I keep looking for a deal on a 32 revolver, just because I got the mold.
