Ed didn’t often participate in this forum but he contributed to the CBA as Director of Registered Competition for over twenty years. In this increasingly selfish society, he was one of the minority willing to do some of the work and pay dues to make CBA matches possible as well as such things as this forum. We need more people like Ed, and they are increasingly scarce.

He was also unfailingly pleasant as well as always at, or near, the top in UNR class in every CBA nation match and he was the CBA overall National Champion in 2017. A few years back he shot a 5- shot aggregate in the threes. Such things are, of course, common on the internet, but in the real world of cast bullet matches they are like unicorns and seldom seen.

Ed, will be missed.

I have many good memories of Ed. He and I talked at a few NT’s, involving guns, loads, matches etc. We had a few lengthy phone calls about the job he twisted my arm to take…being his assistant in working on the CBA National Match schedule for the FS.

So I frequently think of him, his character, his conversation style, his view on loads and guns…sure wish I could pick up the phone and talk to him.

Yes, he will be missed….by many.

Tom
