Covid 19

I don’t post here anymore regarding shooting but reading this thread I thought my experience might help someone.

Family of four, all Covid survivors. I’m 50 and otherwise healthy. I had walking pneumonia for 2 months prior to infection. 12/16 fell sick on job with 105 temp. Confined until 12/28 when I was able to testify that no fever of any kind existed and my body temp was stable. Covid took me to near death. My family suffered but far less. We had an 80 year old arrive on 12/16 and we were able to keep her from harm until 12/28 and got her profilactic treatment in the meantime to fend off virus.

Covid (as I have experienced, heard from my sons and wife and many many others) takes you mind to places it shouldn’t go. Death is welcome at the peak of severity. Worse yet is the persistent insomnia for days and weeks on end during and AFTER the disease. During the insomnia your nervous system acts out and you feel as though you have an out of body experience. The psychological disturbances are grave. All the while you writhe in severe organ pain from the high temps and blood issues. Breathing is nearly impossible. Again, the psychological aspect of the infection and it’s course is beyond words. I simply can’t utter from my vocabulary how very terrible it is.

I scoffed at Covid. I have been near dead more times in my life than one should, meningitis was hours from killing me. I thought meningitis with bleeding sores down my throat and an inability to swallow with 105 fever for weeks on end was the end of the world. It was.... until now. My bout with Covid and Pneumonia set a new standard in my life. I actually have fear today of becoming infected again. I fear little in this life. I now fear Covid not because second infection is highly likely to kill me fast, but that before I expire I will suffer again, maybe to a greater extent- that suffering is what I can’t quantify in words.

As for treatment- I have insurance and chose a different path. This is what matters in my post- standard Covid treatment includes one thing, leave you to die at home without support.

You need not be on a ventilator or dialysis or be induced into a coma or be stuck in ICU. I reached out a a groups of doctors that throw caution to the wind and will prescribe a treatment plan that is proven and will keep you out of ER. Misery is inevitable with Covid confidence in surviving can be high as well.

It is well known that Vit D3 at 5000 iu daily with 3000 mg C and 50 mg Zinc reinforce Covid resistance and also bolster the respiratory system that is under attack.

Dexamethasone treats the bleeding lungs quickly. Albuterol and Budesonide nebulizer breathing treatments 6x daily will allow the lungs to heal and promote airflow. Hydroychloriquine is not approved ( I’ll likely face some censoring for even typing the name on the internet), but I reached out to doctors that WILL prescribe and they found pharmacies not in bed with the political position of this drug who would fill orders.

Azithromycin was used twice at legal limit dose to handle the pneumonia. COVID pneumonia, a new term, IS what will kill you. Virus aside, the pneumonia is bacterial and due to Covid virus damage, much more heinous than any pneumonia you may have ever faced in the past.

I will stay on HYDRO for one pill every 2 weeks for the better part of this year.

Once the protocols for treatment began, my existence transformed rapidly. The treatment works. It cost me less than $250 out of pocket for multiple MD visits. (Telemedicine) Meds made available on 2 hour notice. A hammer was slammed down on me to kill the infection and it was very effective. My copay for insurance typically exceeds that 250 value. I came out ahead. Where I live in Shelby county, we are overrun by infections in Frcember and January, I believe we were the hottest place in US for month of December.. Hundreds of people I know in the same period have fallen ill and many occupy beds in hospitals still today. I didn’t have to run up a massive medical bill. I should have reached out much much sooner than I did for medical care. My family received that care 10 days prior to me simply because I believed I could fight the virus with less support and they are precious enough to overwhelm with support . I was wrong, very wrong.

If you show symptoms, respond instantly. Have a plan to act on. Have quality MDs available who WILL stay politically incorrect and keep you alive and out of ICU.

Frontline MDs, a network of doctors nationwide is who treated me and I am in debt to them. They treated my family for pennies and a mother in law who was just in for Christmas (never got sick).

I don’t scoff anymore. If this was a designed virus, folks went to great lengths to engineer symptoms that humans have not yet experienced and those symptoms reach a level depravity that makes death a welcome event. No influenza or meningitis ever came close.

I don’t like masks, they are what begat my pneumonia infection prior to Covid. I am content to wear them today, change them frequently to prevent possible pneumonia again, (I work in the Midsouth!) and I walk now in some fear and with new trepidation knowing infection #2 is 4x as severe and much less than that multiplier is all it will take to kill me. If I die, well I die- that’s ok. The suffering I faced is what had left me in fear. That may seem way off base/ have a bout with COVID and it’s full force and live through it, that may lend some clarity to my above statements.
