Anyone out there have any experience using Accurate XMP 5744 in 357 Magnum with a 158 gr. LSWC , I have several lbs. of it and am looking for some data to try it in 357 Mag. Hodgdon does not list any but I have heard of it being used ,if any of you have tied it I would like to know how it worked out and what you loaded it at with a 158 gr. LSWC.... I use it in my big bore revolvers, 454 Casull, 45/70 BFR & 44 mag with good results. Any information on 357 magnum would be great.

Thank you, Fred

I tried 12.5 grains with 200 grain bullet in Martini rifle. That was a compressed load, but low pressure and dirty burning. Accuracy just average.

Thank you for the reply I am going to give it a try ,did you use a Small Pistol Magnum Primer ? only asking because it is literally all I have at the moment. I am going to try it in my S&W 586 -6 inch barrel.

I was using Federal 200's their small magnum primers. I don't think SR primers would make much of a difference.
