I cast some bullets with the Accurate 31-120B mold today in Lyman #2 alloy for the Ruger Single Six in 32 H&R Magnum. Even though this mold is set to throw bullets for Lee Alox Lube, I lube them with White's 50/50 lube and it works just fine in the T/C Contender 10" tube. These bullets sit flush with the revolver cylinder mouth and chamber just fine. Sizing needs to be .311 for the fit.

With 3.0gr of Winchester 231 propellant, these are quite nice to shoot. The 3.0gr load allows the use of the Remington 1 ½  primers without blowing holes in them due to high pressure. I am really happy with this mold for the 32-20 Win and the 32 Mag cartridges. Tom made me up a hybrid mold with the same nose configuration, but with a larger lube groove, the 31-120I. Turns out, the Lee style lube grooves and 50/50 bullet lube work just fine. Having tried the Lee Alox lube method, I find the traditional method of sizing/lubing works better for me. It's a lot less messy.

Either way this bullet is lubed, it is a solid performed with 2" groups at 25 yards using the Ruger Single Six revolver.

And that's what I did today.

With rifle in hand, I confidently go forth into the darkness.

Good write up Aaron. The only 32 I have is a Model 30 which sees little use. I'm not much of a handgunner because I have trouble seeing the sights but your thread might get me interested in casting up a few powder coated to try out.

I have 100 loaded with the RCBS 98g and 2.5g of HP38 for my shoot tomorrow in my Single Six.Low power but high fun factor.

It's easy to shoot them all up at the gongs from 15 to 50 yards.

For sure. It's no 454 Casull but it's a lot more fun to shoot. It's a bunny bagger.

Somewhere I  have a picture of me around 1986 with a rabbit I shot the day after I got the gun. Back then I was loading the gun super hot because I was young and silly.

I need to send you some of the Accurate Mold bullets. Shoot me your address in an email and I will get some to you.

Do you have a size die for them or should I lube em for ya?

The other day I mashed some .310” round balls in the sizer to .312”. Three fit in the 32mag case over a little Titegroup. At 20 feet I could cover them with my palm.

I have plenty of size dies in the 30-31 range

Some shooting results for George and the rest of you folks.

Despite the cold and my absolute aversion to it now, I set up some targets at 25 yards to see how the cast bullets shoot in the "new to me" Ruger Single Six, 32 H&R Magnum. I shot the Accurate 31120I, the 31110B, and some Factory Black Hills 90gr FPL loads.

The Accurate 31120I was over top of 3.0gr of 231 with a Rem 1 1/2 SP primer. The Accurate 31110B was atop of 6.0gr of AA#7 and sparked with a CCI SP primer. The Black Hills ammo was factory

Know that I am very fond of Accurate powders for good reason. They really perform quite well in a variety of calibers and firearms.

Conditions today were overcast sky, no wind to speak of, 29 degrees or just shy of 0 degrees in that other European scale, open sights, offhand, shivering slightly (my excuse), and eyes on the fritz a little bit.

Here are the results. The top group on the middle target had some deviation with the load. It felt different for some reason on the last shot which explains that flyer at the very top. No excuses. I'll post a closer view of each target below.

Summary is that I can do better. Need to work up a good load with Accurate powder and these two bullets.

I shot some of the AM 31-110 you sent me and my Ruger  32 SSM shot them well.Ive become less of a fan of shooting in the 20's as I get older.Ive been wimpy and shooting at the 50' indoor range.

I've been on a 45 caliber revolver kick but after getting back to the .32 I remember why I like them so much!

Yesterday I shot 50 offhand and just had a big grin.Just a wonderful little caliber to work with
