.30-30 reduced load velocity

Y'all might remember the load I used on my Easter rabbiting trip.  5.7gr of Bullseye under a Lyman 311316 (bullets that were returned to me by a friend) lit by a large Win rifle primer.

Finally got around to clocking it today.  Average velocity is 1300fps so a faux .32-20 load.  Sure does tip them bunnies over.  And cheap to run.

Cheers from New Zealand

I have been using 6 grains of Red Dot behind any cast bullet in the 30-30 for years.

There are a bunch of them always waiting to be expended on cans and tasty targets.

Accurate, quiet, low recoil, what else do you need.
